I often wonder if we truly believe that this life can give to us all that we need. We all have our desires and thinking on what the perfect life is and nothing is wrong with that, but I believe that intertwined within those desires and thinking are wrong motives. Motives established by a world system that is influenced by mechanisms that keeps us bonded to a certain way of doing what we do. And a certain script that really does not belong to us. We are searching for an ideal that does not exist, well, not in this world. Rest assured everyone you see that seems to “have it all” has a missing link, maybe Joy, a relaxed posture, high self esteem or others that we can think of. None of us has been able to get a 100% kind of life that we seek.
NEWSFLASH
It will never happen in this world simply becase we live in an imperfect world.
So, what are you really searching for?
As a young 40+ woman, I have had more than my fair share of the experiences that now enable me to speak from a place of experience. As I survey the aspirations landscape I see a lot of time being wasted. Time being invested in the wrong things, time being invested in the wrong people, poor decisions that are made because we operate from an uninformed space. I cannot knock people for searching because I too did just that.
In Matthew 13:9 it reads “Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand”.
And so, I believe it is imperative for me to open my mouth and speak to those who will hear and listen. In business we are told that we do not have to reinvent the wheel; the same is for life, time is passing quickly and I believe if there is someone that can guide you, how can it be bad for you to at least listen.
Stop searching there is nothing to find, instead define who you are using God’s word. Use God’s word to give you needed direction, peace, joy that allows you to function irrespective of your circumstance. Reading God’s word will allow you to see that within you lies a great reservoir of untapped potential and knowledge that will enable you to experience the kind of success that makes your life perfect. Perfection that you seek cannot be found outside of God.
