The Best Kind Of Wisdom

Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they realized they were naked; so they sewed fig leaves together and made coverings for themselves. Genesis‬ ‭3:7‬ ‭NIV‬‬

May my eyes be shielded from the harsh realities of the world.

May I not be bogged down by the troubles that make me fearful.

May I not dwell on my weaknesses and instead focus on the intricacies of how exquisitely I was crafted, with threads of power, grace, and boldness.

May my wisdom emanate from a place of reliance on You, Father.

May i not try to navigate life’s challenges alone, but rather, to acknowledge Your presence as a loving Father.

May my wisdom be the kind that accepts the need for Godly guidance from You.

The result of our eyes being opened:

  • Malice
  • Envy
  • Comparison
  • Selfishness
  • Self-sufficiency
  • Grudge
  • Hurt
  • Shortcomings and more…

The enemy has cunningly robbed us of everything that was intended for us by God. He has replaced our joy with fear and given us a hard life that was never part of God’s plan for us. However, we were created to bring pleasure to God, and even in our struggles, we can strive to please Him by making Him the priority in our lives. It’s not an easy task, but with intentional and bold decisions, we can reject the enemy and choose to follow God. And following God is just the beginning, as we must continuously say, “I choose You, Father. Help me in this choice I’ve made.”

I do not think it is God’s desire for us to go through life alone; He wants us to depend on Him and His word. By walking with Him, we can experience His goodness, peace, and love. We can be his example here on earth, allowing others to see the possibilities of a life connected to Him and get to know Him as we have.

One of our purpose in life is to glorify God through our actions, and when we see others suffering we should pause and offer them hope. After all, life without hope is not worth living. The state of the world today is in part due to the loss of hope. But hope is not something we can find within ourselves, rather, hope comes from Jesus going to the cross and freeing us. Unfortunately, we have forgotten this truth and have started looking to ourselves to be our own hope. Isn’t that crazy?

We are built from love, therefore we are love. I love this note that I came across through research—God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power and of love — He has given you a mind that has been delivered, rescued, revived, salvaged, protected, and brought into a place of safety and security so that it is no longer affected by illogical, unfounded, and absurd thoughts.”

Our lives and the way we are created to be and do, is a beautiful thing, carefully thought out by God with every detail about us in mind. Therefore, even when we feel overwhelmed by anxiety, we should remember that He has a solid plan for our lives. Our job is to seek Him for answers, and even if the way ahead seems unclear, foggy, or muddy, we should remember that He has a foolproof plan, one that is greater than us, and we should move forward in faith with complete conviction.

While we face unpleasant challenges and learn hard lessons, we must accept our unique path and calling. We should avoid comparing ourselves to others or questioning why our lives are how they are. Instead, we should acknowledge that our lives are meant to be that way. If we stay aligned with God and His Holy Spirit, fully accepting of His plan for our lives, we can live our best lives.

The enemy wants us to have a negative outlook, but we should remember who our Father is and that He wants us to live the life He originally intended for us. We should seek Him, follow Him, learn the lessons, and walk in our transformed lives.

Heal You First

It is the desire of every good-thinking individual to share with the world the greatness that lies within them. However, there is a struggle to do this at times because of situations, people, and let us not forget self, which prevents them from asserting their greatness. They remain stuck at “the caterpillar stage,” not knowing the truth about who they are. Understanding the innate power given by God allows them to heal and become the butterfly they are.

The hope is that reading this short yet impactful book will inspire you to take hold of the truths stated in different sections, apply them to your situation, and allow others to witness your metamorphosis from a caterpillar to a butterfly.
