Faith Living/Daily Affirmation

Faith living is a way of life that removes all uncertainties and creates an acceptance of where we are knowing that we are where we need to be. JPJ

A friend of mine asked once how do I maintain my faith and this was my response to her.

Faith-living is not about me, it is having the hope in something greater and far removed from me. It is recognizing the importance of living in faith and receiving the benefit of living in grace (living sinless). It is understanding that God enables and equips me to keep focused, to walk in faith and to build my faith daily.

Removing self effort is important in maintaining our faith, we cannot do it on our own. Removing self effort allows us to acknowledge that our strength lies in God who gives us the will power to trudge through the murkiness of a faithless world.

Exodus 15:2 (TLB) tells us the the Lord is our strength, our song, and our salvation. He is our God, and we will praise him. He is our father’s God—we will exalt him”. So God gives us the strength that we need to remain faithful.

There are many benefits to living a faith centered life, primary benefit being  in John 11:25 where Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies.”

Our faith guarantees eternal life. God gave each of us a measure of faith once we received him into our lives, so we should eliminate self-defeating talk such as “I have no faith.” Our faith lays dormant waiting on us to activate it.

So if we want to live confidently, joyfully and eternally, then we need to become faith focused. We need to intentionally decide to give it over to God, to surrender our all. Things that use to bother us will no longer and even if fear should creep in for a minute, it is removed immediately and replaced with faith.

All negatives are momentary when we begin to think and operate from a place of faith. It frees us to live our lives doing what is important, it enables that constant joy and euphoria that we all so desire in our lives.

Affirm: I choose to surrender and believe, I am not shaken when the storms pass through, no matter how great or how small. It is well and I am well.
