Did God Answer My Prayer?

If  there is one thing I know about myself, this is it; I have always prayed to God to put me in a place where I can reach people who need me, and more importantly those who need Him. I would ask for a platform to touch the lives of others.

I remember when this need came across even stronger after taking care of people, who frankly, really did not need me. These people had tons of money that I was managing on their behalf. Come on… Seriously … I did not see where they needed me. Mind you, they appreciated me and I too them but … There was something missing. I knew there was more…. I would never discount their role in my life or my development because, understand, throughout life nothing is a mistake. Absolutely nothing. Whatever we may deem as a mistakes are really lessons and no lesson should be wasted. Everything serves a purpose and it only takes a minute to see what the Lord is teaching us through each connection.

That is why we should incorporate a daily ritual of reflection in our lives. It is so important for us to go over each day and thoroughly assess each moment of impact. Spend quality time with ourselves, learning daily, the lessons that God would want us to learn. God never wastes anything. He does not waste any day and neither should we.

I say all of that because out of the blue I realized that God had answered my petition, and, I had not seen or come to terms with the manifestation that had already taken place in my life. So God had to speak again and make it clear that He had answered that request in my life.

God is faithful to us when we ask of him things that are in-line with his word. Sometimes He answers and we do not hear because we are too busy. Too busy giving into distraction (that was my story) to our detriment.

Learning stillness and spending time with ourselves is a must. We develop through our ability to become still and to observe the things around us. When we practice daily reflection and become in-tuned with the Spirit God has placed inside of us we will grow and our path will become aligned to the will of God in our lives.

Did God answer my prayer? We can only know if we become still long enough to hear him.

Affirm: I reflect daily on my life, this helps me to know God’s will for my life.
