We are made in God’s image, nothing less. I have said this before in my new book “Called to a Higher Service” that is due to be out very soon, but I do not think it can be said enough…You are more powerful than you think. Is that hard to come to terms with? Let me say it again! You are more powerful than you think. Power for some of us holds a negative connotation, for some, they view power as exerting undue influence and for others it is seen positively as the ability to do things. I very much like the last view.

The power I am referring to is not what we can do to others and how we can control others and situations. The power I want us to dwell on is a power coming from God that enables us and equips us to see ourselves in the best light, doing the best thing for ourselves and for others. To have impact where it may seem impossible and to create and do things which we never imagined we were capable of.

There is a group of people that I am specifically talking to, a group of people who right now are feeling powerless, know that you are powerful beyond your beliefs. I belonged to that group sometime ago but not anymore. I have discovered my internal power that allows me to be exactly what God says that I am. Our power becomes evident when we begin to affirm God’s promises over our lives. God has given us all that we need through His Holy words, which is all we need to understand and recognize His power in our lives. Romans 8:37(AMP) tells us that “yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victory through Him Who loved us.”

We are already Conquerors; we are Powerful and we are Victorious because we have God’s love on our side.

So I no longer think self defeating thoughts. No longer do I believe I am unworthy to be in a certain position. That power has caused me to see only good things in store for me. Gone are the days when I viewed defeat and depression and anxiety as my friend because that is what we do unknowingly. Those days are over. I have recognized my power through Jesus Christ and His love that tells me that I am a conqueror through His name. I am a child of God made in His image nothing less.
