Let the excitement remain.

So the excitement has passed for some of us but if you are like me this excitement is ongoing. It has to be! If you are like me you want to celebrate everyday like you did on the 25th of December. If you are like me we could never place limits on a particular day to celebrate such a joyous event in our Christian life. If you are anything like me you would want to be constantly reminded of the meaning and the feeling that surrounds this joyous once a year happening. Being reminded keeps me focused, it keeps me humbled knowing that I could be loved in such a wholesome, unabated, deep and unselfish (and so many other words to describe) way.

So the excitement will never pass it will remain always in the hearts of the many who have come to understand the meaning of Christmas and that is hope and love.

Hope in the fact that we have something far greater than the here and now to look forward to. Hope that one day there will no longer be hurt. Hope that sickness and sorrow will be a thing of the past replaced with never ending joy and peace.

Love because God in his own way, a way that we can try to understand (but will never fully understand) sent his only son to reunite us unto him. A love that frees us from sin and condemnation, a love that frees us from Satan and his darkness because Jesus paid the price and assumed all OUR darkness.

So LET US REMAIN EXCITED TOGETHER, let us focus on the hope that we have through Jesus’ birth. Let us desire to dwell in light always and not take Satan’s darkness upon ourselves.

Living in darkness is denying God’s goodness towards us. Which one of us wants to do that!!!

Romans 15:13 (ESV) May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.

Romans 8:37-39 “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
