Our Inherent Power / Daily Affirmation

Our inherent power is derived from the fact that God exists in us and we in him. JPJ

Each day we take steps towards fulfilling our eternal destiny of being with God, but do we understand that the journey can be made easier for us when we believe and accept that God walks with us every step of the way. That God lives in us and we in him, it’s hard to remember this truth at times but we can remind ourselves by reading 1 John 4:13 which tells us “This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit”.

Wisdom and acceptance of God’s word is important in our journey.

In Ephesians 1:19-20 TLB it says that “I pray that you will begin to understand how incredibly great his power is to help those who believe him. It is that same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in heaven“.

Do we understand the kind of power that God has equipped us with to carry us through on this journey; it is the similar power that was used to raise Jesus from the dead. This is the same power that through Christ’s death and resurrection conquered sin and won the battle with the enemy. What a wonderful truth to hold onto as we face the challenges daily, knowing that our belief in the resurrection of Christ has given us inherent power through the Holy Spirit that lives within us.

This truth is the key to walking with purpose.

This truth should give us a spring in our steps, as if we are the holder of a great secret, knowing that God has equipped us with inherent power to take us through every crisis we could face. This inherent power given to believers should allow us to have unquestionable and unshakable joy so our faith and hope are ever present within us. We should then walk on our journey with this knowledge within us like princes and princesses knowing that we are heirs in God’s kingdom.

Affirm: God has equipped me with inherent power allowing me to see only the path that he has placed me on. No longer am I weak to the enemy’s devious schemes but I will rely on God’s inherent power to take me through daily. It is well and I am well.
