“It matters not who we proclaim ourselves to be whether good or bad, capable or incapable, but who God declares us to be. Our limited minds cannot fathom the gloriousness of His thoughts and ways toward us. In Isaiah 55:8-9 he says:
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
Our understanding confines us, making us incapable of granting ourselves the honor and respect God grants us. His wisdom surpasses all human understanding and counsel. Many verses in the Bible urge us to expand our horizons and transcend our limited thinking:
Hannah prayed, and said: “My heart exults in the LORD! My horn is exalted in the LORD. My mouth is enlarged over my enemies because I rejoice in your salvation.
1 Samuel 2:1
Enlarge the place of your tent, and let them stretch forth the curtains of your habitations; don’t spare: lengthen your cords, and strengthen your stakes.
Isaiah 54:2
Then you shall see and be radiant, and your heart shall thrill and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you.
Isaiah 60:5
But all their works they do to be seen by men. They make their phylacteries broad, enlarge the fringes of their garments…
Mathew 23:5
You have enlarged my steps under me, My feet have not slipped.
Psalm 18:36
One of the keys to unlocking extraordinary potential is surrendering ourselves entirely to His holy plan. Look to the stories of David, Joseph, and Esther – they trusted in God’s power, and the impossible became possible. They believed in what God said and who He said they were, and might I add without the evidence of what they were told.
No guru, expert, or mentor can fulfill our souls or bring us to a true understanding of who God says we are. He ignites the fire within us, moving us when the time is right. To experience this, we must have earnest conversations with Him through prayer, listening intently for His voice. We must meditate on His words, and let His truth propel us into action, guided by the Holy Spirit.
Listen, when the Holy Spirit is working in you, you will know. Many things you thought were not “your thing” will become your thing, not by your might nor power but by the Holy Spirit working in you, but you must allow the Holy Spirit to get the chance to work in you.
Embrace this revelation, for it outdoes mere theory—a deep truth that changes destinies. Yield to God, and witness the transformation it brings.
Live out this truth:
- Immerse yourself in His word,
- Engage in fervent prayer,
- Dare to dream His dreams,
- Hold intimate conversations with the Creator,
- Cultivate gratitude for even the smallest blessings,
- Breathe in His divine presence,
- Scatter seeds of kindness,
- Embrace humility and accept your flaws,
- Share your unique strengths with the world,
- Love boundlessly,
- Recognize the struggles of others,
- Embrace humanity with all its complexities and more.
With this revelation, your life will never be the same. Let it resonate within you, and watch God orchestrate miracles beyond imagination.
