But we must hold on to the progress we have already made.
Philippians 3:16 NLT
Can we agree that as the days go by, life gets more uncertain, as we see our brothers and sisters transition to the afterlife, perhaps because of a sickness or a disease. We witness the unabated senseless killings, and the moral decay in our society generally, causing our hope to wane as we realise we have no control.
The world we live in demands us to operate in a specific way to succeed. We suffer from information overload and “how to’s” which has many of us thinking we know what is best for us when that is a choice made for us by what we see around us. Selfishness abounds, and so does greed. We worry about the earth and its existence, seeing that some are making plans to go live on other planets. What does the average man do? Are we making plans without consulting the One—God, who made everything around us.
My point—we have forgotten how to or choose to live a life contrary to how God says we should. We have become our providers, our healers, our protectors—our source. We are looking to ourselves, and that is so contrary to how we must live. I am not one to preach to anyone, but I feel it is a part of my calling to remind who will heed that we are not our source, but our God is.
We often wonder, how can we live a joy-filled life? Living in joy does not mean that all is well and life is honky dory, but it is being able to LIVE and not be overwhelmed by life’s circumstances. It is not allowing people or situations to affect us. IT IS HAVING A RELATIONSHIP WITH CHRIST, and finding in HIM all we need to keep us going.
THAT IS HOW WE WILL REMAIN STEADFAST IN OUR CALLING.
When we exist in joy, all will flow as it should, and we will find that answers, solutions, next moves will be with us. We will embrace life fully and intentionally. We will find ways to ease the burden of others and be the light for those who need to find their way through the darkness. We are all called to do the above, and that is why it is important that we stay focused and connected to our creator—OUR SOURCE so we can become effortless proactive people.
Here Are 4 Ways We Can Remain Steadfast.
- Surrender | Cast Your Cares – I have experienced how surrendering feels. It is a freedom from the worry that comes with life and instead leaves all that would otherwise overwhelm us at the feet of Jesus, giving him total control. In other words, cast your cares and all that concerns you, and operate from a place of boldness, knowing who has your back.
- Live Intentionally – Know you, know your circumstances, know your purpose and know what your heavenly Father says about you. That is all you need when the naysayers and detractors come; you will remain steadfast in your appointment without shifting. Read the story of Nehemiah, and it will make all this clear.
- Have A Personal Relationship With Christ – Being a Christian, and a believer, is not about religion. It is about having a relationship with Christ and the Holy Spirit and also your Heavenly Father. It is seeking their wisdom first in all that you do. It is being dependent on them and not on men. Many of us put our faith in our religious leaders as in our pastors, and we must remember they are human like us—they are not mini gods. While their counsel is important, more importantly, is our ability to hear from the Holy Spirit, who is the gift from God to help us here on earth. Be wise.
- Suit Up With The Full Armour Of God
Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
Ephesians 6:10-18
The best thing to do for ourselves is to re-align our ways with God’s ways and desires for us. How do we know His ways and desires for us? When we read our bibles, pray consistently, depend on Him and stay focused with the hope that one day, all of what we are experiencing will be no longer be our experience.
Stay steadfast to your calling, there is greater in store.
Lots of Love & Amazing Light.
