As Pharaoh approached, the people of Israel looked up and panicked when they saw the Egyptians overtaking them. They cried out to the LORD, and they said to Moses, “Why did you bring us out here to die in the wilderness? Weren’t there enough graves for us in Egypt? What have you done to us? Why did you make us leave Egypt? Didn’t we tell you this would happen while we were still in Egypt? We said, ‘Leave us alone! Let us be slaves to the Egyptians. It’s better to be a slave in Egypt than a corpse in the wilderness!’”
Exodus 14:10-12 NLT
Is this familiar? Is this how we are as Christians today? Do we begin to complain when things look threatening? Do we wish to return to a place of comfort where everything except what is good for us resides? Think about it. Your place of comfort, I’m sorry complacency—that does not foster your gift or greatness. Your place of complacency allows you to accept the status quo and forget that you are the salt of the earth. Your place of comfort breeds contempt – but guess what, it is contempt for others as you watch them prosper, wishing and hoping it was you. Stop the wishful thinking. What is stopping you?
Allow me to answer—your shortsightedness, the fact that you are the lukewarm, neither hot nor cold. Are you are the grain that fell upon the rocky ground or perhaps the one that fell among the thorns? As Christians, we must do better with the faith we were all given a measure of.
Sigh, I apologize; I may have seemed a little too harsh for a minute there, but it really is quite worrying when we say we believe and when put to the test, we try to flee rather than stand up to the storm.
Think about the time God told Moses in Exodus 14:15-16 to stop crying out to him, can you imagine? God sounded a little frustrated, and what say you? And then similarly when Jesus said in Matthew 8:26— “Why are you afraid? You have so little faith!” Then he got up and rebuked the wind and waves, and suddenly there was a great calm.
Israelites are still in operation today. There is so much going on behind closed doors. Christian’s cowering in fear, throwing away the gifts of grace, salvation, repentance, faith, freedom from sin, and more. Gifts are given to us to live amazingly, and yet as the storm comes we forget to use the gifts and stand our ground without backing down.
We/You have all that you need, trust me. The enemy has nothing on you. Have you forgotten the following?
The name of the Lord is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.
Proverbs 18:10
You have a safe haven.
So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:27
You are made in the image and likeness of a loving and Powerful God. Isn’t that a great thing?
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
1 Peter 5:7
Stop playing small and know who you have on your side. Who told you to cast your cares so you can continue to live in freedom?
I will say again, we/you have everything that you need.

In a world that does not foster authenticity but instead throws us a script on how to do life, many are meandering through life. The reason you are meandering is because you are made for more. There is something within that does not align to your current experiences which causes you to constantly search for this “more”. If you have no clue what “more” entails, how can you find it?
And so we spend a good portion of our life hoping that life will become what we feel it to be on the inside of us.
This was me, maybe it is you
Would you like to hear how I found more?
ABOUT THIS TWO PART ROMANCE
He came into her life as though it were a gift from God, a man that seemed to know her before even meeting her. As he sat down at her lunch table that fateful day, Sean Bolder epitomized what a man confident in God’s loving plan for him should be; a man after God’s glory instead of his own.
However, Cathy Willow had a past that caused her to be hesitant with forming relationships, especially those with potential mates. Her father’s recent passing and a traumatic relationship with an ex-boyfriend had left her to wonder if love from a man was available to her to have forever or just for brief moments.
In the new fictional book by Jacqueline Walker-Johnson, Finding Her Way, the initial meeting between Cathy and Sean sets the tone for how accurate God knows the lives of His children.
Through several events after the first meeting of Cathy and Sean, they begin to see that God may be bringing them together for a purpose more than a lasting friendship, but one that will strengthen God’s kingdom and love.
She [Cathy] had so much more inside but once again she sensed he wasn’t like the typical man, he was caring and understanding, a minister, a psychologist of all the things…
He [Sean] prayed about this situation and asked God to reveal his purpose for him where Cathy was concerned. Clearly she had some issues even though it seems her father had given her a good life and good perspective… He decided he was going to help as much as she would allow him.
Their meeting may have felt like a chance encounter, but God had great plans ahead for Cathy and Sean, more than they would ever imagine. BUY BELOW
