Who are you building up, who are you carrying with you on your journey to Christ?
Are you traveling alone, Are you thinking that anyone else will be unnecessary baggage, a heavy load? Christ calls us to be our brother’s keeper. He calls us to take care of the orphans, widows, the elderly, the indigent. Therefore, at no point should we even accommodate a selfish thought. That kind of action is seriously not aligned to His will for our life.
We are called to a life of sacrifice and we should not worry because he will bear us up. He will give us who we need to hold up our hands as he gave to Moses (Exodus 17:12-14). Do not worry, His spiritual strength is with us to carry us through what would be difficult for us in the natural.
Do you want to be your best? Do as Christ would do. Want to experience the kind of success that matters? Do as Christ would do!
His life was one of sacrifice from beginning to end. And in the end he submitted himself to the greatest sacrifice so that we would have hope. When he was resurrected and ready to depart he ensured that he gave us the Holy Spirit to take care of us. Christ extended himself beyond measure. Now, if that is not a life for us to exemplify as we think about our own brothers and sister, mothers and fathers, people we encounter, then what is?
If you truly want to please God think on these things. Become familiar with Jesus’ actions and be and do that!
Our journey calls for us taking extra baggage and no worries you will be given the resources to help with the extra cost!
…Figure out what will please Christ, and then do it, (Ephesians 5:19).
