We often times expect great miracles to manifest in our lives, however, our stance is not one that facilitate these manifestations that we so long for.
Our hearts are not in tuned to the maker of miracles but instead, we are caught up with ourselves and we are caught up with the world. Whether we agree or not it takes a lot of discipline and not a half hearted approach for us to seriously be in a place to command miracles in our lives. I am not saying that we should fall into “works” but what I am saying is that we should not assume because in our minds we are “positioned” as true Christians (- in our minds), then all that we desire will come. Our stance should be one of total adoration and a knowing of who we serve; instead most times our stance is one of taking for granted that we do have the type of connection with God that we ought to and sadly most of us are falling short.
It is time to truly look at and re-assess the relationship that we have with the maker of miracles and answer this question – are we truly following or are we just robotic-ally following?
Our response will allow us to see clearly whether we can expect the things we are hoping for or not. God loves each and every one of us and once again I am not putting forward that we should jump into “works” but if we cannot call on His name then what are we hoping for.
On a serious note, there are some fundamentals that will allow our stance to be one where we know and there is no hesitation. It leads back to one thing that will be asked of us at the end of the day – to give an account of our lives here on earth… will we hear, depart from me I know you not.
It is not works but it is an expected way of life that we all as believers should be living, one that allows the blessings to flow and one that will allow others to see and take part in the blessings of God.
