Life has a way of presenting us with ongoing temptation but we have to remember that we always have a choice. The choice of right over wrong and there are rewards for choosing correctly.
Blessed is the man who chooses not to seek counsel with the ungodly nor to stand in the path of sinners nor to sit with the scornful but his delight is with the way his father has shown and chooses that way always. That is the blessed person.
Life will always have something that seems more attractive, life will always remind us of what we think are “the good old days”. But, no matter how good we feel, we might get ourselves in a ‘Peter situation’ and against our best wishes we find ourselves doing the thing we most vehemently said we wouldn’t.
Nevertheless, despite what life throws at us, the things we know we should run from, let us strive to do the right always. Let us remember that we have a choice and that there is a reward for choosing correctly.
Temptation surrounds us but more importantly so does God!
