Sunday Inspire – Come On People.

Deuteronomy 31:8 (TLB)

Don’t be afraid, for the Lord will go before you and will be with you; he will not fail nor forsake you.”

Make no mistake God’s promise to never leave us or forsake us still stand. At times we forget this and begin to operate in our own way, trying to influence and control our circumstances, most times, to our detriment.

This is the enemy’s desire for all of us, to fool us into thinking our ways are best and that having (our own) control is the best way – but rest assured it is not. We see this clearly in the world where governments establish their own rules and the result is absolute chaos.

Many will say the events that are taking place is as a result of God’s punishment being meted out, but I hesitate and would prefer to think that God has taken a back seat, because essentially that is what we have relegated him to. So why do we feign surprise by the senselessness and chaos that has taken over the world.

Personally, I will never try to understand my heavenly father because His ways and thought process are far removed from mine. What I do know is that I have a choice and will choose to continue on the foundation of love. I will continue to guard my heart. I will continue to encourage those who will take heed and understand that accepting Christ as their personal savior is the best thing they can do for themselves. I will continue to draw strength from praying in the Holy Spirit so that nothing will impact my joy. I will continue to do what the “word” tells me to do and that is to seek my father above all “else” and everything “else” will go well. Once I do otherwise I open myself to be devoured.

We are called to a life of “laboring” and that simply means that we have to be disciplined to do the things that are of God because they are the things that goes against our natural instinct. They are hard and do not come easy to us. Once we do however, it allows our lives to be easier. We understand through spiritual maturity by reading the words of our Heavenly Father who we are and what we can command in our space through the authority given to us.

Automatically we become better people for ourselves and others and that is our ultimate goal. We learn how to survive in a difficult world with our heads held high because we are above the daily occurrences that will get us down. Stay blessed in Jesus’ name.
