Psalm 16:5-11
My choice is you, God, first and only. And now I find I’m your choice! You let me up with a house and yard. And then you made me your heir! The wise counsel God gives when I’m awake is confirmed by my sleeping heart.
Day and night I’ll stick with God; I’ve got a good thing going and I’m not letting go. I’m happy from the inside out, and from the outside in, I’m firmly formed. You canceled my ticket to hell— that’s not my destination! Now you’ve got my feet on the life path, all radiant from the shining of your face.
Ever since you took my hand, I’m on the right way.
As David says when God guides me through the day, and I have success, my heart sleeps peacefully.
So why should we look to anyone else when it is clear where our success lies, it makes no sense. Let us hold on to this knowledge so that our days will be happy and success will be ours. When we are perfectly aligned to God’s will for our lives, when we are rooted in him, then we have no fear of that which he has already canceled. God has made it clear that we who reverence him and follow his ways are destined for eternity with Him, hell will never be our resting place, it will not be our final destination.
Our Father has our feet firmly planted on His path to heaven but only if we understand who He is to us and how He sees us. He has us on the path that is full of light with His face shining on us. We will walk hand in hand with Jesus our comforter & our rainbow in the darkest clouds. We are on our way to heaven.
But only if we see our Father in the way we need to, with reverence and respect, not taking him for granted but living our lives daily in praise and adoration of the things that he willingly do for us.

Cathy entered the Lounge area and immediately saw Sean, he waved her over and she walked towards him. She saw a couple that she knew from her church and waved to them as she walked by. Sean stood up as she approached the table, he had already ordered a drink and, he motioned to a waiter after she was seated.
“What would you like to drink?” Sean asked.
She told him whatever he was drinking. The waiter arrived and he ordered a glass of water. Cathy looked up surprised but immediately realized he was just playing with her; he ordered a lemonade and asked to get the menu. Cathy liked this side of him, the fact that he could be playful it made her forget that he was so accomplished and made him more relatable.
