1 John 1:9
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
As each day passes and adds wisdom I appreciate myself more and more and all that I have gone through and still am going through. Frankly as long as we are on this earth we are evolving and striving towards spiritual maturity.
My choices have not been entirely good at times; my motives are skewed at times and I can assume I have offended many unintentionally. What I have come to terms with is that life is a process that teaches us many difficult as well as good lessons. Life gives us beautiful and “haha” moments.
We are constantly evolving and that’s a beautiful thing because at some point it brings us closer to our ultimate destination of spiritual maturity. It’s good when we acknowledge these shortcomings and not only ask for forgiveness but believe that we are forgiven, forgive ourselves and move on.
Our integrity is all we have and if we are not careful we can lose this, but, asking forgiveness and proactively learning and welcoming transformation in our lives will transcend us into God’s light and restore us.
A quick note: The word transformation is very critical in a believer’s journey, without transformation as explained in Romans 12:2 , all that we are doing is for “naught”. It says … but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you].
Your Affirmation: Smile and Say – I am evolving through the word of God. I am made righteous through forgiveness and my life is good!
