Psalm 147:5 Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.
I am not going to sit here and tell you that life is all “honky-dory” for me. It is not, far from it, might I add. There are days when I question myself and there are days when I do ask God where is He amidst my confusion. Then there are days when I feel like life is just right and nothing can go wrong.
So, okay, we want only good days and can I say nothing is wrong with that and the good thing is that such a day is coming but in the meantime when we are in the valley or surrounded by the dark clouds we need to remember one thing; that God is bigger than our circumstances and that:
Great is our Lord, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.
I often think of the great people in the bible,we can learn from them, they all represent the direction in which all of us as Christian people should be heading in through a renewing of our minds. So I am thinking about Job and his wife wanting him to curse God, but Job knew that God was bigger than his circumstances and like Paul, Job knew that whatever he was going through that God would give him the strength to go through. He dismissed his wife’s silliness by reminding her of how good God had been to them.
I think sometimes our problems, such as fear and lack and wrong choices lies in the fact that we have forgotten the good times and God’s goodness towards us and that ultimately God is bigger than our circumstances. Why is it so hard for us to remove self effort and give God reign in our lives and just allow him to work through what is bigger than us.
God is bigger than our circumstances, the good life we experience which seems intermittent to us, will be even better when we get to heaven. Imagine that! …The bad times are momentary and are there TO KEEP US IN CHECK and remind us of where our strength and capability resides. To remind us that we are nothing, that we are incapable to handle life on our own. To remove self-effort and give us an opportunity to say …but God! I love those opportunities.
So I am encouraging us today to always remember that God is bigger than our circumstances and He is there for us to call on when we are having bad days and for us to thank Him when we are having the good days. It’s as simple as that!!!!
Remember in James 4, God tells us that if we draw closer to him, he will draw closer to us. I can testify to that…Try it and see…God, who we call Father, is bigger than our circumstances. What more do we need?

Blessing and so true… praise him and be bless
Be blessed also.
