Be Bold – your Father requires it.

James 1:5 If you don’t know what you’re doing, pray to the Father. He loves to help. You’ll get his help, and won’t be condescended to when you ask for it. Ask boldly, believingly, without a second thought. People who “worry their prayers” are like wind-whipped waves. Don’t think you’re going to get anything from the Master that way, adrift at sea, keeping all your options open.

I use to be like the people who “worry their prayers”. I never understood why my prayers did not leave me with the peace that I needed. I realized that even though I prayed and did expect the best from God, I still worried over the outcome, wanting to have my options open and a plan B if necessary. I did not see that what I was doing was asking and doubting/worrying. I was showing no confidence in my Heavenly Father. Showing that I did not trust him to do what was best for my life.

I was soon made to realize that I needed to be BOLD in my praying and also to speak his truth in respect to my situation (speak to his promises towards me). I was made to realize that before, during and after praying I needed to remind myself of these 3 verses.

Jeremiah 29:11 (TLB) for I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord. They are plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.

Psalm 138:8 (TLB) The Lord will work out his plans for my life—for your loving-kindness, Lord, continues forever. Don’t abandon me—for you made me.

Romans 8:28 (TLB) and we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans.

These 3 verses are reminders that all I need to do is ask BOLDLY through prayer and BELIEVE the very best will happen. We cannot do the best for ourselves in any situation. That is why we have no choice but to be bold, ask and receive the answer unto ourselves through Thanksgiving.

Let us be bold and confident when we go to God in prayer and believe that our prayers will be answered according to his will. If the answer is not what we want then it is not for us and not good for us. Either way we are winners when we trust God to do the best in our lives. Let’s be bold!!!
