He saw the best in me when everyone else around could only see the worst in me.He’s mine, and I am his. It doesn’t matter what I did. He only sees me, for who I am. Taken from lyrics of Marvin Sapp song “The best in me”.
Great words that I find myself singing over and over in my head. Reminding me and comforting me that I have all I need in God.
We try to adjust ourselves and our thinking to fit situations and people because of our need to be accepted. We switch our personalities for everyone and every situation creating an emotional roller coaster within us. This makes no sense. We are who we are and will always fall short of each other’s expectations.
The beauty about being who we are is that, we are all accepted with our flaws by the only one who is important and that is God. He made us and knows us intimately. Therefore he accepts us as we are and only sees the best in us.
I do not think at any time in our earthly lives we will understand the love and acceptance that God has for us. We can however learn and follow his desire to show the same love and acceptance to others. Seeing only the best and not focusing on the worst in each other.
We have no control over people but be free knowing that God only sees the best. Even when others around are focusing on the worst.
God’s love is indescribable. It is free from condemnation. He will always see the best in us because he is in us and we are in him. We are a mirror of God. Shouldn’t we be acting accordingly?
Affirm: We are made in God’s image. He loves us more than we know and we must feel comforted knowing this truth. It is this love for us that makes him see only the best in us. Likewise we should see the best in others. It is well and I am well.
