Let us be content with being Perfectly Imperfect until the day comes when God returns and we will be made Perfect.
I realize that it is okay to be perfectly imperfect and as I reflect on this my husband comes to mind. This may gross some out, but sometimes in the morning the first thing he wants to do is to give me a full kiss on the mouth (this is after he is dressed to go). Most times I would turn away simply because I am aware that our breaths are not the freshest in the morning. He would always tells me he does not care about that and that he accepts me as I am. There are other times when I am aware of a shortcoming, maybe with something I said or my physical appearance; an inadequacy or simply put my imperfections and he will tell me in all sincerity not to worry about those things, he loves me as I am.
His constant declaration has empowered me and liberated my thinking and given me the freedom to be myself. To accept that in his eyes I am perfectly imperfect.
And so it is with God and how he sees us, he made us perfect. Unfortunately sin entered the perfect world he created and made us, his creation, imperfect. But God accepts us nevertheless with all our imperfections. He understands that we are flawed and loves us just the same. We are perfectly imperfect in his eyes, therefore let us not try to impress him as we do others by being something that we are not.
No one is perfect and that is why we should never judge each other, instead we should accept each other as unique and individual in his or her own way.
Just as Robert empowers me and accept me as I am, we should empower others and allow them to be themselves and not impose ourselves on them. When we do that we would be fulfilling one of the greatest commands to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.
Affirm: I accept that I am perfectly imperfect but will still strive to perfection by living my life as Christ did while he was here on earth. Knowing that when we get to the end and we are with him we will be made perfect. It is well and I am well.
I love how you have grown spiritually and have embrace the word of God in such a wonderful way that help you to be able to teach us to stop, look, listen and reflect on ourself, family and friends. Thank you Jacqueline for your daily words of encouragement. God bless you and the family
Thanks Dionne.
