Genesis 12:2

“And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing” [dispensing good to others]. 

What is the meaning of the word blessing – 

The true definition of bless is “to cause to prosper, to make happy, to bestow favor upon, to consecrate to holy purposes, to make successful, to make prosperous in temporal concerns pertaining to this life, to guard and preserve.”

It was actually THE BLESSING of God that made Abraham rich! It caused him to prosper wherever he went. see this from Kenneth Copeland Ministries.

Affirm that : We are heirs to the covenant that God made with Abraham. I will walk with purpose knowing this one thing. I am blessed and highly favored because of God’s promises through Abraham. It is well and I am well.
