Life isn’t always what we want it to be. There! I’ve said it, going against the times I might have claimed otherwise. But let me clarify. Ultimately, life unfolds according to God’s plan for each of us. Believing we have complete control is a lack of wisdom. Am I suggesting we sit back and let life happen? Not at all. Instead, as we navigate life’s twists and turns with our expectations, we must remain open to God’s guidance through the Holy Spirit.
We need to adopt a posture that allows the Holy Spirit to be part of everything we do. The Bible tells us to “Delight in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart”( Psalm 37:4). So, ultimately, He should come first, enabling us to pursue desires that align with His will. It’s pretty straightforward, right? The Bible also encourages us to speak positively over our lives, a surefire way to shape the life we want.
Consider Solomon’s wisdom when offered anything by God, he chose wisdom over wealth. It’s about getting our priorities straight. Our desires are often misplaced and we focus on temporary riches instead of lasting blessings.
Have you ever thought of what it would truly take to live your best life? Is it all about money? Look at those who seemingly have it all but are still unhappy or facing an insurmountable challenge or even the ones who are no longer with us due to suicide. What about the ones who have died from an illness that money could not cure?
What are you truly seeking? What do you pray for? Is it fleeting riches or enduring blessings like wisdom, peace, good health, and enough to sustain you?
Lots of light & amazing love!
