Embrace Peace By Letting Go and Trusting in God’s Promises

I’ve been reflecting on what holds precedence in my life at present, and I want to share it with you: peace. That’s where I find myself now, but I’m curious, what is it for you?

Gone are the days when I concerned myself with what I lack, the opinions of others, or the expectations of the world. All I truly NEED is peace—the kind that I cannot generate on my own, the kind that surpasses all understanding, the kind that comes from my heavenly Father. I yearn to fully embrace His words in Matthew 6, where He instructs us not to worry about what we shall eat or wear. Do you grasp the intentionality behind His words? He knows the thoughts that consume our minds and has shared these instructions with us to combat these thoughts.

Once I delved deeply into my Bible, I was able to release many things I held onto. I had to engage in serious conversations with myself about trusting God and His promises. And I can attest that the moment I let go, I began to experience all that He has promised.

I don’t know about you, but when I contemplate the goodness and grace of my Father, my heart overflows with love. Reflecting on all that He has done for me and my family, solely because I chose to trust in His word and promises, leaves me awestruck. The personal and overall transformation I have encountered is unparalleled. I could berate myself, for all that I am experiencing has been available, patiently waiting on my acceptance.

Today, I want to encourage you to ponder your relationship with Christ and, in tandem, immerse yourself in His promises for you. But don’t stop at merely reading; start living out those promises with unwavering belief and acceptance in your heart. Strive to let go of the past and open yourself to the remarkable possibilities that await you. These possibilities bring with them a peace that we all yearn for.

To get you started, meditate on this verse: “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” (Psalms 91:1 NLT) Visualize yourself dwelling in God’s shelter and open yourself to rest, peace, provision, protection, healing, and so much more. Consider, without these things, can you truly find rest? I thought not. Hence, it means that He will provide everything you need for you to find rest.

And remember John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” This verse encapsulates it all. While we may seek peace from the world’s offerings, only our Almighty God can provide us with the rest we truly need to flourish. Why? Simply because He is not of this world, and neither are we. How can something that is not aligned with our true essence provide us with what we need? Let this truth resonate within you. No one on earth can grant you the peace that aligns with the very core of who you are. Only God can. That is why we witness countless individuals who seem to have it all yet end up hurting themselves. You don’t need me to name them; you know who they are. Seek everything you need from your ultimate source—Father God.

Sending you blessings, love, and light.
