The Time Is Now, Not Tomorrow

If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done

Ecclesiastes 11:4

I believe with the proliferation of thought leaders sharing empowering messages of inspiration, we are beginning to understand the importance of acting now, not tomorrow. With this increased awareness to be active in our endeavors, we now know that we must take full responsibility for our lives and their outcomes. We can no longer look outside ourselves—a scapegoat to blame our inadequacies or live in a less-than-we-deserve state.

The question is, with this greater awareness and knowledge, are we acting on it? Or are we still sitting around wishing and hoping and praying in circumstances where we can take hold of the reins of our lives and direct our lives in a way that will allow us to feel fulfilled and accomplished, now, not tomorrow?

My people are being destroyed because they don’t know me…

Hosea 4:6

The abundance of messages that bombard our space might be new to the mass but certainly not new to us Christians. From before the beginning of time, we have had these instructions and guidance from God, our Father. Instructions on how we should live through His word. Are we reading the word, allowing it to become fruitful in our lives, or are we being like the mass and waiting around for a time to begin living out our days as we are enlightened to in the word?

Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom

Psalm 90:12

To grow in wisdom and knowledge, we must delve into our bibles and not leave them to accumulate dust as some prized possessions do or open them up on our pillows to ward off evil spirits as in the days of our grandparents. We must allow the word of God to come alive in our lives, guiding and instructing us. We must remember the words in Hosea 4:6 that says, “my people perish because they do not know me”. We must get to know God, our Father, and allow His instructions to manifest in our lives.

Today is the day for action; no longer can we sit around watching the wind, waiting for the perfect condition to live and be and do. Many question their calling in life, their purpose, it is not rocket science—our purpose i.e.. Our purpose is to go deep within and connect to our heavenly father, His Holy Spirit and allow the Holy Spirit to empower and embolden us to act and be who we must be.

We have all we need on the inside through the spirit within us, there is nothing more that we need.

And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever—

John 14:16

Quite recently, I have prayed to be able to open myself to the moving of the Spirit within me, where I no longer lean on my understanding but instead seek the Holy Spirit in all I do. And guess what, I have experienced much success in so doing. Why not make that a practice in your life, where your dependency is on GOD?

Stop waiting; the time is now, not tomorrow—if you are above ground, forget about what was and look forward to what is.
