Seek the Lord while you can find him. Call on him now while he is near. Let the wicked change their ways and banish the very thought of doing wrong. Let them turn to the Lord that he may have mercy on them. Yes, turn to our God, for he will forgive generously.
Isaiah 55:7
As the world faces what could possibly be the end times, yes, I know, it is hard to begin to absorb that we could be at the end of the world as we know it. As I look around and observe the zeal with which we continue life, as though life itself is ours to have or hold on to, I would love to help us a bit. I am no expert on life, but I believe that rather than looking away from an inevitable doom and again I must add I am not one to preach doom and gloom, but at this time we must become practical and use every opportunity that we have to make ourselves right and ready for God’s return.
James 1:5 reads, If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. In times when we are not sure, what is better than wisdom? Wisdom is what will take us through, along with the leading of the Holy Spirit. Not us working feverishly and looking the other way, hoping that things will take a turn for the better. Yes, we must continue with our lives, but may I recommend that every step we take, we welcome the Lord’s leading and his presence.
Doing this will requires us to seek him now, at this moment, and understand that without our acknowledgment of him, we have nowhere going. There is a saying that I love—it makes no sense going if Jesus is not with me. Seek the Lord now, let us turn from our wicked ways through repentance and thanksgiving for mercy and forgiveness.
Before the fame and continued fortune, we must prioritise as instructed in Matthew 6:33, Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
We will never live a victorious life if we do not read then put God’s word into action in our lives. One of the ways we will face all that is happening in our world today is from a victorious stance. Knowing that every battle has already been won. Life is never hard for Christians; we only need to read our Bible, and we will be alright; this is just one reminder out of many.
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth, you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.”
John 6:33
In closing, I would also like to remind us that we have the authority to overcome the powers of the enemy and every challenge we may face, so we must stand firm in this knowledge, stay faith-filled, and trust in the Lord, leaning not to our own understanding, in all our ways we must acknowledge God and he will direct our path (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Look, I have given you authority over all the power of the enemy, and you can walk among snakes and scorpions and crush them. Nothing will injure you.
