We should live large full lives as Paul encourages us to do in Ephesians 3:19

“Live full lives, full in the fullness of God.”

That’s the successful living that facilitates other successes.

A lot of times Christians feel they should live inferior – to themselves, form a clique, do not share and that it is a safe way – humble and pious and the Christian way. Then there is the “parable of the Ten Talents” (Luke 19) with the one servant who many of us have followed in his footsteps. Afraid to share, afraid to expand and position ourselves to help others… but what happens to those who are like that? Same thing that happened to the one servant who played it safe …everything was taken from him.

A lot of Christians live in this manner but let me point you to 2 Corinthians 6:11-13 (MSG)

 “Dear, dear Corinthians, I can’t tell you how much I long for you to enter this wide-open, spacious life. We didn’t fence you in. The smallness you feel comes from within you. Your lives aren’t small, but you’re living them in a small way. I’m speaking as plainly as I can and with great affection. Open up your lives. Live openly and expansively!”

 This is what spiritual success speaks to, being open to everyone, being available to help as much as we can, not to shy away and allow life to overtake us but for us to overtake Life and the abundance that Life offers us. To experience spiritual success that is available to all of us as we accept Christ into our hearts and believe that with Him comes salvation, repentance, forgiveness and a new start that begins our journey to a full and wholesome life, one that demonstrates spiritual success and a beautiful life in Christ.
