Maturity and time takes care of most things. I knew the moment would arrive just like Clément’s dog knew. I’m deviating a bit, forgive me. Clement was a friend of mine who trained his dog 🐶 by giving him a perfectly great succulent bone 🍖 then taking it back just as we Jamaicans would say ” as we getting into it” just to begin the dog’s lesson. I thought it cruel being the human I am, but the dog on the other hand just did what he needed to. He got it – that if he learned the lesson then the bone would come back to him. So I often would observe the training then afterwards Clément’s dog would sit patiently waiting for his bone that would be returned to him.

The only difference between me and Clément’s dog was that he was patiently expectant and trusting Clement to give him his heart’s desire, he knew it was a given… me… I was out of sorts on an emotional roller coaster. This minute I’m patiently waiting too and the next I’m wondering “should I do this or that” in a most fitting emoji “smh”. Is that an emoji or shorthand computer 💻 language? Someone rescue me, please.

… And then things unmistakably started falling into place.

I was not prepared for the quiet confidence and assurance that would be the accompanying feeling. That knowing feeling that tells me that progression is being made, that tells me the prayers and questions of yesterday are being answered today. The resounding lesson would also come through clearly and that is to wait, to exercise patience (like Clements dog) because everything was coming together as it should. Mind you this breakthrough moment would have been preceded by other similar moments but being the human that I am , I tend to not see the goodness that surrounds me until God makes it very evident and clear. It’s unmistakable much in the same way when he calls us to His will.

… And so the moment is here when I can acknowledge that some prayers are being answered – right now!

… And the feeling that rises up is that, it is a given 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽 and here is where we dance.

When we are walking with the Lord, when we are laboring in faith, when we are on our knees praying … the fact that we are relying on God then success and joy and all the things we yearn for is a given! Even when it looks bad, even when we are on the last dollar, good living is a given. Just as God is for us and no one can be against us, so it is, every good thing that comes from above is ours once we can call Him Lord and Savior.

I remember reading about Nehemiah rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem, when Sanballat and Tobiah were inflicting a spirit of doubt, fear, intimidation, Nehemiah stood his ground. He knew that no matter what, his purpose in that moment was to rebuild the wall. He knew it would be done … that it was a given or maybe he knew Clément’s dog…. smile – in the spirit.

So it is with us… we need to know our position in Christ. I encourage you today to NOT LOOK at the physical circumstances. LOOK TO the spiritual knowing that is where your success lies, knowing that is where your yes is and not from man, once you are walking with the Lord.

Your life is a given! Victory, Order, Joy, Abundance, Peace Success, Good health etc. are all a given!

…and Clement’s dog knew.
