There are times against our better judgement that we will likely feel to give up our standards, give up our dreams, give up our beliefs, give up our positive outlook on life, and give up on life itself, when we feel tired of trying, tired of fighting the world and the systems we live within and tired of fighting people.
… and I say it is okay to feel that way, it is okay to give up, as a matter of fact – consider it a good place to be in. When we give up, it is perhaps the best thing we can do for ourselves because we then allow our Father who waits on us in the shadows to take over.
Many may feel that it is foolish to think this way; they think we should always be trying to do something and to be proactive in living the life we envision. Whilst that may be true to an extent – what happens when we try over and over and over to the point of exhaustion and yet we fail? When do we rest and allow ourselves to perhaps see where we have possibly erred, when do we allow that still voice to come to us and give us some direction.
I am always of the opinion that there is an easier way to living if we allow ourselves to be directed, if we allow God to control our lives. Many of the failure and frustration that we encounter would not take place. But alas! It is not what we are accustomed to doing and so it becomes hard for us to allow someone else to takeover even when it is the best thing for us.
The point is this, sometimes we have to let go and allow that still voice to come through telling us to hold on. That still voice that encourages us to not let go because He has our back, telling us to not be frustrated. If we allow His still voice to remind us that we do not need to go the difficult route, that He is more than able to make life easier for us then we will find the peace and reassurance to hold on knowing that life will become better. We will find that the things that would cause us to give up no longer matters.
Hold on…

We begin by healing ourselves, our hearts, our mind and even our physical bodies. We surrender to everything that we are afraid of, we surrender to everything that we have no control of. We begin to heal by accepting ourselves as we are; the flaws and all but in accepting we move from who we are, to who we need to become. We become – by allowing God’s Spirit to intertwine with ours, consuming us, changing us, moulding us, shaping us into our best selves. We give over control of our whole being and watch and see the transformation that takes place. It has to be a wholesome approach to being healed with unwavering belief that are healed. It can never be a half-heart approach or it will be a waste of time. You will be healed to see that you can exist in a world filled with every undesirable thing that can be thought of, but those very things will not affect you.
