Wednesday Inspire – Confessions Keep Us Focused

Hebrews 10:23 (KJV)

Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.

John 6:63 (KJV)

… the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

fearI must admit, there are times I forget or rather I give in to the negativity and the “he said, she said” business of this world. There are times I stop focusing on my garden and find myself dreaming about somebody else’s. I recently texted a girlfriend of mine, telling her that I wanted to throw a pity party but thank goodness she brought me back to reality by quickly telling me she had no intention of showing up. I know many of you can identify with this – of almost giving into the battle that of course starts in our minds.

Well let me encourage you to develop your confession of faith that will become your strength and focus in times as mentioned above. Jesus tells us that His words are Spirit and Life. It simply means that when we remain focused on His words they will be rooted in our hearts. Our feet will be on the solid rock as spoken in Matthew 7:24.

I am encouraging you to join me in remembering theses verses and making the confessions listed below:

  • Ephesians 3:20 (NLT)

Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.

  •  2 Timothy 1:7 (NLT)

For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

  • Romans 8:31 & 38 (NLT)

…If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate me from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate me from God’s love.

Your love is unconditional towards me.

  •  1 Peter 5:7

I cast my cares upon You Lord because you care for me.

  • Proverbs 3:6

I submit to God and I know my path is made straight by Him.

  • Jeremiah 29:11

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.

  • James 1:6 (TLB)

But when you ask him, be sure that you really expect him to tell you, for a doubtful mind will be as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind;

  • Philippians 4:6 (TLB)

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank him for his answers.

  • Romans 4:19-21 (TLB)

I will not doubt but will believe and trust in the promises of God.

  • Psalm 23:5

You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.

Confessions

  • Thank you for fortifying my walls, I will not allow evil to penetrate and get to me in Jesus’s name.
  • I endure Trials and will not doubt because I know enough to see beyond the now, knowing that nothing lasts forever.
  • Thank you for taking the things I think impossible and showing me the possibilities. I walk in my possibilities.
  • I thank you Lord for Spiritual Healing, Spiritual Strength, wisdom, knowledge and understanding to help not only myself but the ones you will have me impact.
  • Thank you for the Holy Spirit that intercedes on my behalf, praying for the needs of my family and other families that are unknown to me.
  • God you are a God of integrity and faithfulness and I rest in every promise made to me through your words. You say you exalt your words above your name and you will ensure your words take effect in my life and so I rest in that knowledge.

I exercise my Authority in Jesus name through these confessions so that my life will be purposeful, carrying out the will of God, I will not operate on my own. My words spoken in faith will cause changes.

Watch for the changes as you make your confessions of faith, holding fast to them without wavering.

I leave you with this verse.

1 Timothy 6:12 (TLB)

Fight on for God. Hold tightly to the eternal life that God has given you and that you have confessed with such a ringing confession before many witnesses.
