O death, where then your victory? Where then your sting? For sin—the sting that causes death—will all be gone; and the law, which reveals our sins, will no longer be our judge. How we thank God for all of this! It is he who makes us victorious through Jesus Christ our Lord!
Today should be a day of intense joy because of what it represents to all of us. Jesus defeated death and the grave. We do not have to feel hopeless in any way if we understand the verse quoted above. We just need to be thankful that Jesus said “Not my will, but your will be done”. In saying those words we received the best gift that one could ever hope to have. There will never be another gift that is comparable. We have the victory through Christ.
We have the victory over the enemy, Jesus Christ removed every instance of intimidation that we could ever be faced with, and every disease that can come upon us is now void. Every lie is replaced with the truth of God’s words. Our sins were traded for righteousness. We have much to rejoice and be glad for, eternal life is ours to choose. We thank God for his mercy and his incomprehensible love for us…
We have the Victory through Christ!
