Romans 4:17
As the Scriptures say…”and this promise is from God himself, who makes the dead live again and speaks of future events with as much certainty as though they were already past.”
I am stuck on the verse that speaks to being made in God’s image –
Genesis 1:27 “God created human beings;
he created them godlike,
Reflecting God’s nature.
He created them male and female”… I am my father’s child.
I think of how I interact with my earthly father – I look to him as my example here on earth. Everything that my earthly father does is what I would want to do. Girls especially look up to their dads; there is adoration and a childlike blind following. So I am led into thinking that if I call upon God the father as my father then it simply means that I would want to be like him. I am not him but I want to be like him, I want to imitate his ways. I want to please him, I blindly follow what he does and I want to blindly follow his ways.
So I further considered on the verse above – and if my heavenly father calls into existence those things that are not, as though they were, then it means that I can and need to do the same.
I need to call into existence those things that are not (in my life) as though they were…
So I’m asking you – what is it that you are dreaming about and wanting to happen in your life? Begin to speak it into existence as though it has already taken place. Let us take a “leaf” out of our Father’s book and understand that our success lies in Him.
Many of us go through life accepting mediocrity when we can access greater things…in the bible God has told us in Romans 8:11 that “The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you”.
Imagine that – we have power within us to call the things into our lives as though they already are, because, they already are through grace.
Through Grace we have all we need; we only need to call them into existence! Follow your father today – it makes sense.
