Romans 1:16-17
I am proud of the Good News, because it is the power God uses to save everyone who believes—to save the Jews first, and now to save those who are not Jews. The Good News shows how God makes people right with himself. God’s way of making people right begins and ends with faith. As the Scriptures say, “The one who is right with God by faith will live forever.”
When we give our lives to Christ accepting him as Lord and Savior… God’s son Jesus Christ who was raised from the dead, then we become qualified to encourage others to come to Him through speaking about the Good News.
There are times we think we can change people and we think we can save them but our job is not to save lives but it is to be ready to share the Good News to others and then allow God to do the rest. In 1 Peter 3:15 we are told that if anybody asks why you believe as you do, we ought to be ready to tell him, and do it in a gentle and respectful way. It is through our own experiences and new awareness of knowing the power contained in the Good News that we will demonstrate to others our belief causing them to open themselves to the Holy Spirit’s conviction. Only God can change and save lives.
As Christians we all need to be talking about the Good News of Christ, why He came and His purpose that was fulfilled. If we are not talking about that then we are not living up to our Father’s expectations. Some may say they have no testimony but I will encourage you that your first testimony should be about your acceptance of Christ and the changes you have undergone.
Start talking about the Good News, the hope that is within you and the faith to believe in all God says you are and also in the unseen things. Start talking about the Good News demonstrated through your life, it has the power to save! Someone did it for you; you now need to do it for someone else!
