Proverbs 19:21(ESV)
Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.
Too many of my people are living in fear, afraid to come to me and not get a manifestation of what they desire from me. The fear that surrounds them is crippling their faith. It should not be a question of will I get my desire but it should be that Lord I come in faith asking, but not only do I ask, my desire is that you do what is best for me.
In asking we still assume that we know what is best for us, we should ask knowing that our Father will do the very best for us. In asking we should also allow Him to do it when it is best for us.
We cannot approach the Throne of grace with fear of will we get our desire. We approach the throne of grace knowing that whatever we ask for will be given to us in our best interest or not given to us because it will do us harm. We should pray as Jesus did in the garden of Gethsemane, “not my will but your will be done.” We should be living in total surrender to God’s will, not in demand, but knowing that He knows our needs even before we say them.
Let us go to our Heavenly Father with a different mindset, one that allows Him to have full control of our lives, knowing that He holds us in the palm of His hand and that He will do what is best for us.
Be not afraid!
Your Affirmation – Smile and Say: I will not be afraid, I ask for what I want in faith knowing that my Father will give me what is best for me.
