Joel 2:28 (AMP)
“It shall come about after this That I shall pour out My Spirit on all mankind; And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, Your old men will dream dreams, Your young men will see visions.
In the last days God promises to pour out His Spirit on His people who will in turn be able to discern the way forward. I believe in doing this God is surely reminding us that He is with us despite the frightening things we will encounter. I believe it is God’s way of providing us with peace and perseverance and for us to keep our eyes on Him. The end times will demand this.
There is a condition however, found in verses 12-14 that we need to change our ways –
“… it’s not too late— God’s personal Message!—“Come back to me and really mean it! Come fasting and weeping, sorry for your sins!” Change your life, not just your clothes. Come back to God, your God. And here’s why: God is kind and merciful. He takes a deep breath, puts up with a lot, This most patient God, extravagant in love, always ready to cancel catastrophe.”
That is the condition, we have to return to him, it is not God’s desire that any of us should die eternally, it is His desire that we all come to know Him and accept Him in our heart. God desires us to come to Him repentant and ready to serve Him. It is not too late once you have breath, remember that there is no time that is promised to anyone and so while we are able to we should return to that familiar place of love. That place where God resides.
Return to God today – none of us know when His return will be – in Matthew 4:36 (NKJV) “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.” So we need to stop waiting for a particular time to turn to God and do so now.
It is not too late. I encourage you to just do it.
