Psalm 1:1-3 (AMP)
Blessed [fortunate, prosperous, and favored by God] is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked [following their advice and example], Nor stand in the path of sinners, Nor sit [down to rest] in the seat of coffers (ridiculers). But his delight is in the law of the Lord, And on His law [His precepts and teachings] he [habitually] meditates day and night. And he will be like a tree firmly planted [and fed] by streams of water, Which yields its fruit in its season; Its leaf does not wither; And in whatever he does, he prospers [and comes to maturity].
In our lives the enemy convinces us to dwell in the things that we are surrounded by when in fact God’s truth and direction holds the key to us having a successful life. God wants us to focus on him and His truth. Everything depends on us and how we incorporate this in our lives. We are the tree firmly planted, blessed and fed by His streams of water. Nothing wanting or lacking because He provides us with every good thing that we need. We are the righteousness of God, we are His people. We are children of the one and only King who holds us in the palm of His hands and nothing will cause us harm.
