So what is it you are dreaming and envisioning about? What is it you want out of life? Why are you not getting it? Why are you not going after it? Is it because it is not for you? Is it because you doubt yourself, is it that you feel incapable, is it that the dream – that thing you want, seem like an insurmountable task that you don’t think you are prepared for? Is it that your motives –your “why”, – is skewed?
Yes, there are times when our reason for wanting something is not aligned with God’s bigger picture and his purpose for our lives. I have found however that most times our inability to rise and manifest the dreams and visions that have been given stems from the challenges we have allowed to take residence in our “being”. As children of God we are positioned to get whatever we want as long as it is God’s will – (meaning that if it is something that lines up with the word of God). There are times we feel incapable, the will-power is absent, in those times we should dig deeper and figure out our motives. Perhaps what we are desirous of is a hard feat because our motives are wrong. Are we going after it to fit into the world’s mold? Do we want something because we want to live up to the world’s expectations?
As children of God we really need to know why we do what we do. We need to get in-tuned with the Holy Spirit and honestly address the “why’s” in our life. Our dreams and visions that give us “fire” within (passion and purpose) are God-given and should be manifested in our lives through faith and action. Whatever we feel passionate about can be and should be achieved. God-given dreams and visions cannot be buried under doubt, incapability, insurmountable feelings, unpreparedness and those other things that prevent us from moving. Instead the dreams and visions should be activated by planning, faith and our belief in the limitless potential that is already in our DNA.
It is an amazing opportunity given to us to contribute to God’s greater plan. We have a part to play in the puzzle and if our part is missing then the puzzle will be incomplete. We must play our part. God given dreams and visions are things the enemy fight and try to prevent from manifesting because he knows the impact it will make. What if Abraham had been disobedient? What if Moses had given into his imperfection? What if Joshua had given into his fear? What if Gideon had given into his insecurities? What if David had thought his task insurmountable? What if Elijah had kept running?
It goes to show that God’s people will encounter obstacles that if given into, will kill their dreams and visions. We have a part to play in history and we must do our part. Rise above the obstacles and decide to overcome whatever is preventing you from not realizing the dreams and visions God has given to you! Rise up and understand the part you play and figure out the why. Push through and do that thing that gives you the fire!
You dream and envision because innately you understand that there is a bigger picture out there waiting for you and your contribution. Figure out your “why”, correct it if needs be and do your part. Play your part, there is someone waiting on your contribution, the world is waiting on you.
