I think the current news worldwide, is taking a toll on Christians and people in general. There is a deep level of concern about the future and the impact on our lives individually and collectively. We do not need any great sign for us to realise that we are heading into a season requiring renewal and introspection. We will need to renew ourselves, our minds and know what we are about. A time requiring us to assess our environment and to make conscious decisions personally that will help us to survive what seems to be an inevitable tumultuous time.

I believe we are being called to a spiritual re-awakening that will allow us to go through not necessarily being untouched, but go through in a way that we will understand that no matter what we know ourselves. That no matter what we will remain resolute in our Joy knowing that all is coming together as it should. I am reminded in 2 Peter 3:18 where we are told to grow in spiritual strength and become better acquainted with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ…

So as I meditated some time ago these words came to me – God is calling us to newness – a new day, a new light, a new awakening, a new higher level of spiritual consciousness. A spiritual consciousness for ourselves, one that allows Him to freely project Himself through us. One that will allow us to move into a new realm of being with Him. One that shows us our unique path and purpose that will take us to Him. He’s asking us to wake up and look around. He is asking us to be strong and know ourselves and what he means to and for us individually. Today ask yourself … What does Christ really means to me?
