2 Corinthians 5:7(KJV) (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)
Many times we wonder why our lives are not the way we imagined it to be, free of challenges. It begs the question what is our focus, what is in our hearts, what are we seeing, and what do we believe? Simply put, how are we positioning ourselves in this world? Are we walking by faith or are we walking by sight? Are we allowing our worldly environment to mess with the spiritual environment we were created to exist in? Are we walking by faith or are we walking by sight?
I walk by faith and not by sight (that is my new mantra) because the beautiful purpose filled road ahead is often obscured and hidden by many things. Some of what I see daily is ugly and filled with despair causing the best of us to stumble and second guess our existence. Causing us to operate in a mode that is contrary to how we were created to operate in, causing us to question life, causing some people to give up on life before giving it chance. Never seeing the faint silver lining behind the mess and chaos that we are a part of…. but Jeremiah 29;11 tells me “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” So it means that the road ahead, even though obscured by many things, even though obscured by an overshadowing grey mist that never seems to lift, the road ahead even though hidden from me … is ahead of me filled with beautiful things.
This declaration by God tells me that the road ahead is filled with abundance beyond measure, gifting to help others beyond measure, everything that we can imagine that is good for us beyond measure …and time will make it plain… and so, I walk by faith and not by sight. Join me!
