One thing I am sure about is that God is with us. God is for us, never against us despite what some unbelievers may think. He lets us know when we are heading down a wrong road; He lets us know when our thoughts are not His thoughts. He lets us know that we are a people called and set apart from everything and everyone who is going to harm us. He lets us know that His ways are higher, bigger, better than ours and therefore we ought to look to Him for guidance in everything.

People may feel we are controlled by God, which as believers we know is not the case. What is true is that God gives us and shows us the way to truth and Life. In any event I say let Him control me as I know myself and I need to get out of my way so as to not hinder myself. I have tried to live by my own means, I have tried on many occasions and I have found out I have no clue as to what I am doing, when I do it in my own… so I say Yes! Control me!

He has proven himself to me over and over again even when I easily forget his goodness. He holds nothing against me, now, unlike God, man would fail me right there and then. Man would say go your way I am tired of this. Man would say, I have no time for this, but, not God. In his immeasurable patience He says… Let’s do this again, its okay.

He never gives up on me and He will never give up on you. Be at peace because the God who reigns above is what we need. He carries us many times without us knowing, He directs our path through the darkest valley, He illuminates our path causing our foot to never stumble, He lights our way.

Be still he says and know that I am God.
