Our Spirit should be a reflection of God in us because we are made in His image.

If we are made in God’s image we cannot walk around feeling lack, wanting to hurt others, displaying selfish temperament etc. We have to ensure that we are able to experience God’s Spirit (the only true spirit)within us and be an example for others to see God’s glory within us. Then they too will want to glorify God.

Our lives should be fully convicted by the Spirit of God, allowing us to bring others into His kingdom. Spirit-filled lives made in the image of God. Not wanting to be God but striving to emulate him because he is our biggest role model. The inherent power and presence of God within us will also better our world and the world of others.

Our Spirit should show love first, above everything else. Love supersedes every character that we have received through the Spirit of God. Love overshadows all things and brings everything into the light which is so important for every believer and others who need to feel this love. The characteristic of love brings light into our environment declaring everything that is of the dark to be far removed from us.

Witnessing the Spirit of love at work in us should immediately make others want to have the same Spirit too which transforms everything and everyone. It enables strong faith and hope within despite what is taking place in and around our immediate environment. It gives others this same faith and hope too.

This I believe is the greatest character of the Spirit you and I can have. Having this “true and pure” love essentially takes care of every other character that we can own. It is the foundation for all of us who are called to bring others into God’s kingdom.
