We so easily get caught up with life and just as easily forget ourselves and the fact that we are made to enjoy life and not for life to enjoy us! Often times we miss moments that can give us a minute of happiness because we are caught up with doing things that counter the happiness and joy that we need, to experience life in a fulfilling way. I recently took such a “minute” and found out that, as I became still and recognized that breath was within me, giving life to my dry bones. A minute that allowed me once again to sense a rhythm within me which was my heartbeat, a fact that becomes easily lost and a fact that we take for granted.
When did life become so overrated that we lost the essence of our selves? When did we forget what life is about and that we were all made in God’s image and therefore un-ruled by anything here on this earth? He gave us this earth as our pleasure zone but how many of us see it that way; rather we see it as our pain zone. We get up every day playing the mechanical role that life gives us. A role we would not have taken if we had learned how to be still and allow truth to flow to us. Life has become a routine and we are the mechanical puppets that are ‘wound up’ every day and we play this role every day. I think the only peace we have is when we go to sleep – (sometimes), but then we wake the next morning once again being ‘wound up’ by a force we are sometimes not aware of and we enter our pain zone with “joy”.
So what are you going to do when you awake tomorrow, are you going to allow the enemy to ‘wind’ you up? Or, are you going to say, “I am made in God’s image and I need to be a reflection of that in my environment”. I encourage you to say to yourself “I will live this truth and allow others to pull from my spirit, I want others to ingrain this truth of being made in God’s image into their spirit”. That is the only way through one individual, us, we can begin to shape and change the world we live in. No longer allowing life to enjoy us, but, allowing our lives to be one where we return to the true purpose and meaning of life. A meaning that tells us we were made to enjoy life and not the opposite truth that most of us live.
