Be still and know that whatever you are required to do for the glory of God will happen. Do not look to what others are doing and try to imitate. We all have a place in this world. We know deep down there is something we all need to contribute to God’s greater plan. When that time comes YOU WILL know. God will make it clear and he will also equip you to do his work.
No worries, what God has placed in you, no one can take from you. Remember Joseph?
How long did it take for God’s plan for Joseph’s life to become his, his brothers and others reality? It took about 20 years or more…. Joseph was said to be 17 when he was sold into Egypt and 39 years old at least when his brothers traveled to Egypt and Joseph’s dream about the bundles of wheat and the stars bowing down to him took place. Read Genesis 37-50 (Joseph’s life)
I want to highlight a part of the story, found in Genesis 45:4-8 –Then Joseph said to them, “Please come closer.” They did, and he said, “I am your brother Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt. Now do not be upset or blame yourselves because you sold me here. It was really God who sent me ahead of you to save people’s lives. This is only the second year of famine in the land; there will be five more years in which there will be neither plowing nor reaping. God sent me ahead of you to rescue you in this amazing way and to make sure that you and your descendants survive. So it was not really you who sent me here, but God. He has made me the king’s highest official. I am in charge of his whole country; I am the ruler of all Egypt.
So it just goes to show that people or situations cannot influence the plans God has for us. It does not matter how things may seem today, understand and believe with faith in God, that his plans for our life will be revealed at the right time. Continue to be faithful in the things that are important – praying, studying God’s word, helping others all the good things that reflect God’s love in us.
Be still and settle your heart, it is all being worked out for your good, for our good.
What men ment for evil God ment for good. Reminding faithfully sound even when life becomes unfavorable.
