God is shining his light on our world, whether we acknowledge it or not. We walk around with our chests held high, walking and thinking that all of our experiences are our own doing. Taking life for granted. Not believing in a power that far exceeds human understanding. Far exceeds our limited minds and limited ability to comprehend. Not seeing that God is shining his light on all of us.
God is no respecter of persons. He doesn’t shine a brighter light on anyone according to their abilities or contributions. He shines his light on all of us in equal measure giving each of us an opportunity to come to him in our own way, in our own limited way.
He sends his angels to encamp about us and to deliver each of us from harm’s way. A way that if not intervened in, would lead us to a place not fit for his wonderful creation. He will never force us to see things his way but instead he equips us with a powerful sense of choice. Not a debilitating sense, but a powerful one that allows us to see the beauty and the ugliness of life.
We need to choose wisely, sometimes the good choices come with a little bit of delay, a bit of hardship, maybe a bit of resentment and unpopularity. Make the right choice because when we exercise patience and endurance. When we remain consistent, focused and remain diligent we open ourselves to his light. Nothing that comes easy is entirely good unless God is all over it. Unless God is willing to make our path easy for us we should be prepared to put out a bit more effort.
God is the same yesterday, today and forever. He is not a liar he is true to his word and if he gives us a promise, he will deliver. He is not like us who are fickle and act on our emotions changing so easily. He keeps his word. Let us live knowing that, let us persevere as Paul did, fixing our eyes on the prize ahead of us, God’s promise of eternal life. Knowing that when we get to be with him fully transformed by his light, what a glorious day that will be, filled with rejoicing because we ran our race with diligence and focus. That at the end of the day we are reaping the reward of the extra effort that we put forth, claiming our prize and living happily in eternity.
God is shining His light on us!!!
