To bless our lives is to increase the flow of love, hope and faith into our spirits. To increase it in our inner being so we walk confidently knowing that the path ahead of us is made straight by God even when it looks crooked to us and others. JPJ
The road we travel each day can be overwhelming. We want to ensure that our minds are capable of handling the journey. When we bless the path ahead of us we allow our minds to focus on the purpose of our journey. This ensures that if our path should become different from what our expectations are, we will not be distracted but press on ahead.
We bless our lives so that the blessings will flow to others that we encounter daily. Our presence blesses them.
We bless our lives to reflect God’s blessings towards us. His abundance will flow to us through our obedience to Him. Putting him first above all others.
When we bless our lives we are saying a direct no to the enemy. Preventing room for negativity but allowing only room to embrace all things positive.
The opposite of blessing is cursing, so that should be reason for us to bless ourselves. When we do not bless ourselves and speak positive reinforcing words then we are cursing ourselves.
God blesses us but he also told us to bless each other. In Luke 6:28 we are told to bless those who curse us and to pray for those who abuse us.
Blessing ourselves opens us up to receiving peace and healing in our lives, it makes way for forgiveness of self. It allows us to think the best of ourselves and others.
Blessing ourselves helps to shape our attitude. We accept ourselves for who we are because we understand that God loves us unconditionally.
Affirm: I bless my life so I can be a blessing to others. When I bless myself I allow God’s glory to shine through me. It is well and I am well.
