I give you praises and honor Lord Jesus Christ because of the things you have done for me.

Not things that I have asked for but things that you knew I needed even before I knew.

You walk the path ahead of me; you know every trap set by the enemy.

You dismantled all stronghold set to keep me in bondage, a bondage that can only serve the dark side.

Even though my actions were deserving of the dark side, in your loving mercy you rescued me and why?

You rescued me because you made me for your purpose.

Not a purpose to align myself with the enemy, what can he do for me?

He only wants me to live a defeated life, a hopeless life because he knows there is no hope for him.

He knows the kind of life you have created for me and he does not want me to partake in what he has given up so he hunts, he kills, he steals joy, he destroys the essence of our being.

And why do we allow him to?

Because of temporal things, things that cannot last and will not last, things that satisfy our carnal nature created by our parents Adam and Eve.

So Lord…. Unreservedly, without hesitation, with a resounding voice I praise you and I give you thanks and I magnify you Lord.

If it was not for you where would I be, I still would be trying to please others instead of you,

trying to fit into other’s picture instead of fitting into your picture.

So as in Psalm 40:2 I thank you for rescuing me from mire places,

for rescuing me from the enemy and from the life of sin that I was living.

I thank you Lord for setting me on a higher, stronger foundation of your word

so I can walk with confidence, no longer being tossed to and fro by every storm that passes my way.

Affirm: In you Lord I fully surrender and I allow you to guide me every step of the way. I acknowledge that only you know how to care for me and that is because you truly Love me.
