In all aspect of our lives we need no one but ourselves and God, he will give us peace over confusion, he supersedes all. JPJ
Do you need a question answered today?
Something has been bothering you and even though you consult with those that you feel could provide an answer you are left even more confused than you were before. Not getting the “peace over confusion” that you need.
I have realized that if I need a sure answer, one that gives me peace over confusion then I need to go directly to God. It is unfortunate that sometimes we do not remember that God has created a way for us to speak to him directly through Jesus Christ and so we continue to seek the opinion of those around us.
The bible tells us that our faith in Jesus Christ is all that we need to go to God directly in prayers. In Ephesians 3:12 (TLB) it tells us that “Now we can come fearlessly right into God’s presence, assured of his glad welcome when we come with Christ and trust in him”. We no longer have to rely on priests as in the days of old when they were used as the mediators between God and his people.
Isn’t that great knowledge that you and I have but may underutilize?
In order for us to receive our answers from God it requires faith and trust in him along with patience. We also need to remove the clutter of our own opinions and that of others. Our mind needs to become like a sponge, pliable and soft to receive the answer. We also need to be resolute in asking God for the answer. I remember once reading a passage in the bible and being so confused about it. I was determined to get the answer and decided right there and then that I was not going to budge until it was revealed to me (in a respectful and trusting manner). I sat patiently waiting and praying to the Holy Spirit, to God ,to reveal the answer and he did. Some answers come direct but other answers may come through another person just saying something to us out of the blue or through a television program. However it comes we need to be ready to hear. It will happen, all we need to do is exercise patience, trust and faith that God will answer.
We need no one but ourselves and God, that’s the best formula, not in a selfish way but in one of wisdom.
In Matthew 6:33 (TLB) we are told “ and he will give them to you if you give him first place in your life and live as he wants you to”.
Affirm: I will put God first place in my life , I will not seek the opinion of others because God provides the ultimate answer that will give peace over confusion. It is well and I am well.
