God did not say we would not have trials, challenges/tribulations in life but his comfort given to us is that he has conquered the world/enemy. We need to revel in that great knowledge and act accordingly….we are conquerors through Christ Jesus. No weapons formed against us shall prosper…
John 16:33 from the Living Bible tells us “I have told you all this so that you will have peace of heart and mind. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows; but cheer up, for I have overcome the world.”
When a family member wins the lottery we easily visualize ourselves partaking in the lottery winnings. We do not even ask we just assume that automatically we will benefit. This assumption lifts our spirit to the point where we see success, poverty reduction, peace of mind, victory, just being easy like a Sunday morning etc. and so it is with the battle that God has already won for us; if we accept it within us we will have similar feelings.
We have to keep in mind the quality of life that God is affording us just by conquering the enemy. We no longer have to live in defeat; we no longer have to go through life with our heads hanging down but just believe and accept in our hearts that the battle has already been won for us.
It was just last Monday having had a kind of low weekend (simply because I forgot this one thing) that I was reminded once again that “this thing” that I am going through is just another challenge. I can choose to give life to it or I can choose to speak it out of my life. We need to revel in that great knowledge of being conquerors and act accordingly….we are conquerors through Christ Jesus. No weapons formed against us shall prosper…
Affirm: I will meditate as much as I can on the fact that God has already won the victory in my life. It therefore makes me victorious against the enemy. I will not give life to my challenges but instead will live with my head held high knowing that I am a conqueror through Christ Jesus. It is well and I am well.
1 Corinthians 15:57 ( Living Bible ) “How we thank God for all of this! It is he who makes us victorious through Jesus Christ our Lord!”
