I know you feel that everyone is against you. You feel confused because in your eyes you have done nothing wrong. All you see around you are people who seem to be blowing things out of proportion. Making a mountain out of a molehill. You say to yourself, what if I choose these people as my friends? What if I have a boyfriend at this age? What if I just want to be by myself? I can balance my academics with my social life.

Believe me when I say I do understand how you feel but I want you to stop for a moment and consider on these things. You see the world and what it represents.

• The world is a fake place (to put it bluntly). Things are unreal more than real.
• People have no feelings for anyone other than themselves, it’s a selfish place.
• The world’s values are close to nonexistent. You hear the songs (lyrics) that are being played, the dancing that takes place, the movies that are being made.
• Everyone is promoting sex without consideration for their audience.
• Children hardly communicate anymore. They now communicate with cellphones, hand games, computers etc.
• Adults are caught up with trying to make money to meet their needs.
• Teenage pregnancy, AIDS and other diseases waiting on us to avail ourselves of them.

And I could go on….

•   Would you prefer the people who care about you to remain silent and not try to show you the right way?
•  Would you rather we leave you to be led astray by the wolves that exist in the world waiting to devour you?

How would you feel if you did not have a mother, a grandmother, a grandfather, aunts, uncles looking out for you? Wouldn’t you feel lost, hopeless? The beauty is that you do and that’s precious. There are a lot of little girls right now wishing they had someone to worry over them. Girls waiting on someone, anyone to give them some attention and to shower them with concern. Girls waiting on someone to believe in them and to tell them they can be somebody outstanding.

Do u believe you can exist on your own because if you do I will stop right now. I know the answer to that, you need us.  You need our guidance and direction. We love you and we want you to do this for yourself not for us.

So please be open to instructions love. The bible says “Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise” Proverbs 19:20. So do not think people are against you. People are actually for you. People want YOU to be the best that you can be. To grow knowing that God loves you.

Do not continue to build up resistance but open yourself to God’s love. This love demonstrated through your mother, grandmother and grandfather, aunts and uncles, teachers who mean you well.

Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honour your father and mother which is the first commandment with a promise so that it may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth. Ephesians 6:1-3.

Strive to be your best person and always think about how Christ was while he was here on earth. Accept instructions because that is the beginning of wisdom and knowledge. You are not going to understand now but someday you will. I have no doubt about that because I use to be you.
